About the Artist

Bryan Cordova Arias (b. 1998) is a New York-based Ecuadorian-American artist and trained architect whose pen-and-ink drawings emerge from direct observation in cities around the world. His work blends architectural precision with a sensitivity to time and place, often sketched over hours or days on location.

After taking a sabbatical to travel across five continents throughout his mid-twenties–carrying rolls of paper and portable sketchbooks–Bryan returned to New York in 2023 to establish ‘Drawings of New York,’ a growing studio practice rooted in the performative spirit of urban sketching.

His work, which has garnered recognition across the city, has led to collaborations with fellow artists, collectors, public clients, and both local and international organizations. Through pen and ink, his drawings continue to explore the energy of public life and the built environment with a refined, human touch.
